Our motorcycle club is a MOTO-CROSS riders group dedicated to running and promoting the sport in Britain. The club was formed in the winter of 1976 and ran its first meeting at Boraston, nr. Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire. The club has run many Moto Cross (it used to be called Scrambling!) events at different circuits: Ombersley, Leysters and Suckley.

In the early days the club also ran trials. Now TVMCC only runs its Moto Cross events at Boraston so we can concentrate our efforts at this circuit.

The circuit is on farmland that was at first rented from the owner but later, in the early 80s, the A.M.C.A. were able to purchase the 36 acres and make more permanent improvements to it.

We are affiliated to the governing body, The "A.M.C.A." (Amateur Motor Cycle Association) who control and administer the various aspects of the sport in Britain. They co-ordinate rules, licences, insurance, entries and a million other things to keep Moto Cross events going throughout the country each week during the season.

Border Group

Teme Valley is one of eleven clubs, which makes up this group. An area mainly covering west Worcestershire, south Shropshire and north Herefordshire. There are many such groups around the country with clubs that run events in their area. Riders from other groups may travel to different areas under various circumstances (AMCA conditions apply).

All the riders featured on these pages are Teme Valley members.

Pictured left is Richard Rowley one of our riders worth a special mention.

When Richard joined Teme Valley a few seasons ago he had not ridden any type of motorcycle before!

Some friends and everyone at the club gave him encouragement so he took the plunge and entered his first meeting.

He is now one of our most enthusiastic members.

Another young rider from Teme Valley is Simon Sanders (pictured left) who has made much progress in his class.

He regularly features in the Juniors results and should soon be ready for upgrading to the seniors where his brother Barry (pictured on Tracks page) is also scoring points.

Simon and Barry are regulars at club nights and reliable and hard working at work parties.
